January 10, 2008 09:07 PM - An 80-year-old Mississauga woman has been charged after a T-bone collision with an oncoming pickup truck Thursday around 1 p.m. on The Queensway at North Queen Street.
The collision was the woman's second in a week, police alleged, noting she may require driver's licence reassessment.
She was driving a rental car at the time of Thursday's crash.
The woman was travelling eastbound on The Queensway when she made a left turn on a green light into the path of an oncoming westbound pickup truck, police alleged.
The force of the collision caused the woman's Chevrolet Malibu to be flipped onto its roof.
The woman has been charged with making an unsafe turn.
Both the woman and the truck's 71-year-old male driver, also from Mississauga, were taken to Trillium Health Centre's Mississauga hospital and treated for minor injuries.
