Peel Regional Police have released descriptions of three men who robbed a Scotiabank in the city's east end yesterday.
It was just after noon when the bandits, who were wearing black masks, backed their get-away car up to the front of the bank at 1825 Dundas St. E., near Wharton Way.
While one of the threesome remained behind the wheel, a second man stood watch at the front of the bank.
A third man entered the bank and proceeded to empty two separate tills.
Meanwhile, an employee of the bank told police an "orange gas" was sprayed into the bank during the robbery but that turned out to be a false report. No one was injured.
The thieves were last seen driving westbound along Dundas St. W. Their abandoned vehicle, a light grey Dodge Caravan, was found a short time later at nearby Nawbrook Rd. and Treadwells Dr.
The suspect who stood watch at the front door of the bank is described as a white man between five-foot-eight and five-foot-10. He was wearing a dark green hoodie, blue jeans, black ski gloves, a black scarf and large sunglasses.
The second suspect, who took the money, is described as a white man about the same height. He was wearing a waist-length puffy jacket, a black ski mask with only his eyes exposed and black ski gloves. He carried a dark-coloured bag.
There is no description of the driver.
Anyone with information should call Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
