Paul Tuck, 45, of Brampton, was to be sentenced today but court officials weren't ready and the hearing was put over. Tuck will appear in court May 8 before Justice James Blacklock to set a date for the hearing.
Back in January, Tuck was convicted of one count of sexual assault.
Court heard how the incident, which occurred at the private religious school on Ganonaque Dr., involved Tuck touching the student's bare upper bare thigh while holding her hand. On more than one occasion, court heard, he brushed against her breasts with his elbow.
He also had kissed her on the cheek, court heard.
And, while a charge of internet luring was dismissed along with a charge of sexual interference, the judge said that numerous sexually explicit online chats between Tuck and his victim made it clear the accused was "deluding" himself in denying the conversations had sexual overtones.
Tuck, a married father of two, taught at the academy for several years and was a pastor at Meadowvale First Baptist Church.
He was arrested in December of 2006 after the girl and her parents came forward to police with allegations. Tuck has since resigned from the school.
