Michael James Struc, 23, of Brampton, is charged with first-degree murder in the April 5 stabbing death of Luis Estrada-Lemmon outside Kennedy's strip club, on Kennedy Rd.
Eric Jacome, 24, also of Brampton, is charged with accessory to murder after the fact.
Jacome is in court today, while Struc appears in court tomorrow.
Meanwhile, The News has learned that a hearing for Struc has been set for Aug. 18 to determine when the trial will start. It's known as a trial confirmation hearing.
Peel Regional Police believe the murder might have been a revenge killing.
Estrada-Lemmon was charged last July 17 with sexual assault in connection with an incident involving a person known to Struc.
Estrada-Lemmon, a tool-and-die student at Sheridan College, was two weeks away from graduating from the 28-week course, and had earned straight As.
At his funeral last week at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Brampton, male mourners were asked to wear black with red neckties because black and red were Estrada-Lemmon's favourite colours.
Women were asked to bring a single red rose to the funeral, but in lieu of other flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, a charity close to Estrada-Lemmon's heart.
Sheridan College announced that Estrada-Lemmon will be awarded his college certificate posthumously.
