Nobel Prize nominee shows his colours at Rainbow series

May 7, 2008 10:49 AM - Four-time Nobel Prize nominee and noted children's rights advocate Craig Kielburger is the keynote speaker at the 7th Rainbow Speaker Series, taking place in the RBC Theatre at the Living Arts Centre, May 14 at 7 p.m.
The 2008 Rainbow Speaker Series is a fundraiser to benefit Rainbows - a national community-based peer support program for children, youth and adults who have experienced grief.
Kielburger is the founder and chair of Free The Children, the largest network of children helping children. The 25-year-old has worked in partnership with both the UN and Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network in an effort to empower youth.
The acclaimed advocate will be speaking from his New York Times bestseller, Me to We: Finding Meaning in a Material World, and on the topic of empowering youth to achieve happiness through helping others. He will discuss his life philosophy, centred on feeding the positive into our communities and the world through acts of empathy, respect and gratitude.
The 2008 Rainbows Speaker Series is being held in four locations across GTA including Oshawa, Barrie and Newmarket.
