Highway 401 westbound, west of Mavis Rd., will be closed for two hours while Ontario Provincial Police investigate an early-morning crash that involved three tractor-trailers and a pickup truck.
The accident occurred about 7:50 a.m. this morning. The driver of the pickup truck driver was reportedly taken to hospital with minor injuries.
In the wake of the accident, the Ministry of Tranpsortation has closed the Mavis Rd, southbound ramp to westbound 401.
A heavy tow truck will be used to remove the damaged vehicles.
Traffic in the area was seriously congested in all directions as a result of the collision.
