Highway 401 westbound west of Mavis Rd. has reopened after being closed for two hours while the OPP investigated an early-morning crash that involved three tractor-trailers and a pickup truck.
The accident occurred about 7:50 a.m. this morning. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital with what were reported to be minor injuries.
In the wake of the accident, the Ministry of Transportation closed the Mavis Rd, southbound ramp to westbound 401.
A heavy tow truck was used to remove the damaged vehicles.
Traffic in the area was seriously congested in all directions as a result of the collision.
