School might be out for summer, but that doesn't mean the learning can't continue.
The Peel District School Board has tip sheets available online that offer suggestions for parent/child activities that encourage fun-filled learning during summer vacation.
"Turning everyday activities into a learning experience will stimulate students outside of the classroom setting," said Chuck Waterman, the Board's superintendent of curriculum and instruction. "Children who remain active learners throughout the summer are better prepared for their return to school in September."
