The show, which features Eastern, Western and instrumental music, will begin with a performance of carnatic music, a form of classical music from the southern parts of India. It continues with popular Western music selections and scores from Bollywood films.
The concert takes place at John Paul II Polish Cultural Centre.
Show time is 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Instruments featured at the concert include the veena, an Indian string instrument, violin, grand piano, keyboard, trumpet, South Asian percussion instruments (mirudangam, kanjira and tabla) and drums.
Organizers of the concert believe one of the highlights will be when East meets West when the veena and piano are played together. The second half will feature compositions by Beethoven and Scott Joplin followed by Indian movie scores from A.R. Rahman.
