The awards have been presented annually for the past 15 years in recognition of the spirit and contribution of entrepreneurs in Ontario and around the world.
Nominated in the Business-to-Business Products and Services division is Doug Tozer of Wheels Group. The company offers integrated supply chain solutions to its Fortune 1000 customers, including domestic and international clients.
Oliver Bock, Gabrielle Chevalier and Mark Smith of Solutions 2 GO Inc. received a nomination in the Emerging Entrepreneur division. The company distributes video game products, including hardware, software and accessories, and provides logistic services to video game publishers in Canada.
In the Health Services and Sciences category, Dr. Piyush Patel of Cetero Research Inc. has been nominated. The company specializes in providing research services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
"We have seen extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit here in the 15 years since establishing the program in Canada," said Dan Cornacchia, national and Ontario director of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program. "Time and time again, individuals find exciting new ways of doing business and meeting market needs. These entrepreneurs are propelling the Canadian economy forward. Their ideas and contributions make a real difference to their customers, employees and communities."
The provincial winners will be announced at a gala banquet Oct. 16. The overall winner will represent Ontario at the national banquet in November.
