The City of Mississauga has been recognized for developing and implementing an internet system that allows business users to easily create, edit, manage, search and interact with thousands of complex documents.
Called KbCity 311, it won an Excellence in Municipal Systems Award at a recent Municipal Information System Association conference.
KbCity is a web-based software system that was fully designed and developed in-house by the City’s Information Technology division staff in collaboration with the customer service division, said Jack Lawrence, the City’s director of information technology.
“This system has been a complete success since its launch last November, and has become a mission critical system that is used by the Call Centre customer service advisors when answering questions from Mississauga residents and businesses,” he said.
