July 9, 2008 07:45 AM - Lionhead Golf & Country Club is the place to be next Tuesday if you love the links, want to meet an NHL great and would like to help eliminate the online sexual exploitation of children.
The club, located on Mississauga Rd. in Brampton, is the venue for the 2nd annual KINSA (Kids’ Internet Safety Alliance) Charity Golf Tournament.
“In addition to getting a chance to meet celebrity host Bobby Orr, the fun day includes prizes for low team score, men and women’s longest drive, closest to the pin, a great meal and a raffle for an Air Canada flight,” said tournament chair Mike Doucher.
The cost is $1,400 per foursome. Registration and barbecue is at 11 a.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Cocktails, dinner and awards will be held after play in the main banquet room of the clubhouse.
For more information and registration, e-mail Kristin at info@kinsa.net.
Funds raised from the tournament will directly support KINSA’s goal of eliminating the online sexual exploitation of children and youth.
