The program, called Yoga In The Park, has been presented on various nights throughout the summer at the Central Library Square for the past three years. Last night's event was this summer's inaugural class.
Experienced and professional yoga instructors walk the crowd through the various stretches and forms of yoga, including Hatha and other disciplines. Hatha is the form that is typically associated with yoga in North America.
The 60-minute classes start at 7 p.m. Classes continue on July 15 and July 29 and throughout the month of August.
Organizers are asking anyone interested in attending to bring along their own mat.
Yoga In The Park is presented as part of the My Mississauga entertainment and activity series. The program features concerts, performances, sports, theatre, movie screenings and festivals.
