July 9, 2008 01:25 PM - Six unsolved robberies in Mississauga, and the culprits responsible, top a Peel Regional Police most-wanted criminals list released today.
Two other robberies in the city also appear on the Peel police Central Robbery Bureau's Top 10 Most Wanted list, which was compiled in an attempt to get the public's help in solving the cases.
Peel Cst. Wayne Patterson said it's the first time the robbery bureau has compiled such a list.
“The Central Robbery Bureau has gone through some of the unsolved cases and has identified cases they think can be solved with the public's help,” Patterson said.
Patterson said the list includes a brief synopsis of each investigation and surveillance photos of the culprits. Police hope it will spark tips from the public.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-453-2121. Tips can also be provided anonymously through Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Topping the list is a Cooksville area home invasion robbery last Dec. 30, on Hurontario St.
Second on the list is a convenience store robbery Jan. 8 at 7475 Airport Rd., while a bank robbery on the same day at 4141 Dixie Rd. rounds out the top three.
Completing the list is: a series of convenience store and bank robberies between last summer and this past January in Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto; a pharmacy robbery in Cooksville on Feb. 27, at 3035 Hurontario St.; retail robberies this past February in southeast Mississauga; a convenience store robbery on March 8 at 31 Steeplebush Ave., Brampton; a home invasion March 19 on Queen Mary Dr., Brampton; a pharmacy robbery March 19 at 223 Lakeshore Rd.
