Tyler Macdonald of Mississauga and Alex Hayes of Carlisle continue to hold down top spots in the season standings of the Ontario Cup Cross Country Mountain Bike competition.
Macdonald, who represents the Milton Heights Racing Club, won the gold medal on Sunday in the junior men's competition with his victory at Boler Mountain in London.
Macdonald's triumph strengthened his hold on the top spot after finishing second, fourth, third and third in four previous events.
Hayes, also from the Milton Heights club, finished fourth Sunday in the senior division to hold onto first place in the overall standings.
The next race in the series is scheduled for Aug. 10 at Buckwallow in Muskoka.
