The cabbie has been taken to Credit Valley Hospital with minor injuries following the incident on Colonial Dr., which occurred around 7 p.m.
Police said the driver picked up the two men at 3590 Colonial Dr., and when he dropped them off near Garthwood Park, they assaulted him.
Police aren't sure if anything was taken from the cabbie's vehicle.
One of the culprits is described as black, in his late teens, 5-foot-10, wearing a black bandanna, white baseball cap, black t-shirt and jeans.
The other is also black, in his late teens with a slim build and wearing dark clothing.
