Mississauga’s Bimal Shah has been appointed 2008-09 chair of the Peel chapter of Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGAO).
CGAO controls the professional standards, conduct and discipline of its members and students in the province. There are more than 18,000 CGAs and approximately 8,000 students working towards their designation in Ontario.
As chair, Shah is responsible for ensuring the chapter provides access to local professional development seminars to its members. He achieved his designation in 1999, and presently operates a practice in Mississauga.
