A 45-year-old man is facing aggravated assault and other charges following a stabbing Wednesday night at a Mississauga townhouse.
Peel Regional Police responded to 50 Mississauga Valley Blvd. just before 10 p.m. after a 9-1-1 caller reported the incident.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering from numerous cuts and abrasions to his chest and stomach, and a puncture wound to his chest. He was taken to hospital and treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.
Witnesses reported that two men who had been drinking became involved in a verbal dispute, which escalated.
Pushpakaran Sangarapillai, who's the brother-in-law of the victim, is facing charges.
