Stephanie White will guide Team Canada at the world women's under-18 championship and in a three-game series against the American under-18 team, it was announced yesterday.
Danielle Goyette and Caroline Ouellette were named assistant coaches.
"The three coaches we have named today all have years of experience in Canada's national women's program, either as a coach or as a player," national women's team general manager Melody Davidson said in a release. "We feel we have chosen three exceptional coaches to help continue the development of Canada's up and coming female players."
White recently was named head coach of the women's hockey team at Ryerson University in Toronto. She spent the 2007-08 season with the Mississauga Chiefs.
The under-18 squad will be named following a selection camp to be held July 18-27. The rosters for the selection camp will be announced today.
