July 15, 2008 03:09 PM - Four men facing charges in connection with the gang rape of a Mississauga girl inside a Lakeview home will be in court tomorrow for a pre-trial hearing.
The names of two of the accused cannot be published because they were under 18 when they were arrested by Peel Regional Police. They're charged with sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, gang sexual assault and manufacturing child pornography.
The other co-accused, Philip Perry and Barton Reeder, both 19, are each facing similar charges  and will also be in Brampton court tomorrow.
Trial dates have yet to be set.
Police say that during the early morning hours of Feb. 25, 2007, a 16-year-old girl was at a home on Parkwest Place, near Cawthra Rd. and Atwater Ave., when "for reasons as yet undetermined," police say, she fell unconscious.
Police said that while she was unconscious, the girl was sexually assaulted by four males.
During the assault, the attackers "took photographs and video of the victim and the events on their cellular phones," according to officers with Peel's Special Victims Unit.
The girl awoke later that morning and went to a medical facility for victims of violence, police said.
She then contacted police, and four teens were arrested one week later.
The victim attended Cawthra Park Secondary School.
