Woman charged in fatal crash

A Mississauga woman has been charged in connection with a Halton Hills crash earlier this year that killed a 44-year-old Georgetown man.
On March 16 at around 9:30 p.m., a Honda Prelude struck a Chevrolet Cavalier in a head-on collision on Ninth Line in Halton Hills. The Prelude was passing another car when it hit the Cavalier.
Robert Thomas, 44, who was a passenger in the Cavalier, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 35-year-old woman who was driving the Cavalier suffered major injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
Police say the driver of the Prelude suffered only minor injuries. She was charged this week with careless driving.
Kristie Johnson, 20, will appear in court next month.
