August 25, 2008 08:35 AM - When two young Mississauga men arrived at a Kingston hotel Saturday to pick up a load of laptop computers valued at $10,000, they found something else waiting for them: arrest warrants for using a stolen credit card.
Suspicious staff at the hotel called police after the two men showed up Saturday at about 11:30 a.m.
Waiting along with the computers were two plainclothes police officers who arrested the out-of-town residents.
The men were taken to Kingston Police headquarters, where they were held until a bail hearing. They were remanded into custody, then transferred to Quinte Detention Centre in Napanee.
The investigation continues. Police say more charges may be forthcoming. The names of accused men, aged 20 and 21, were not released.
