Singer unveils new single

Mississauga singer Basia Lyjak . Mississauga singer Basia Lyjak will unveil her new single, Don't Talk!, when she performs Thursday night at the Annex Wreckroom in Toronto.

Mississauga vocalist Basia Lyjak will unveil a new single and a new band later this week when she performs at a concert in Toronto.
Lyjak and her band, an outfit that guitarist Ron Bechard, bassist Dave Carreiro and drummer Glenn Nash, perform Thursday at the Annex Wreckroom. They'll be joined by special guests From Other Planes, Shortwave and Alternate End, with comedian Johnny Legend performing during the intermissions.
During the show, Lyjak will perform her new single Don't Talk!
Last year, the singer released her second EP, Writings On The Wall. Several tracks off the album, including Plastic, Stuttering, Bye Bye, Torn and Lies, can be heard by visiting www.myspace.com/basialyjak.
In the past year, Lyjak has performed at The Phoenix Concert Theatre, Lee's Palace, The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern and The Rivoli. She also opened a show for April Wine.
Tickets cost $7. Show time is 11:30 p.m.
