Police search for shooting suspect

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Charles Agbajoh, 20, who faces charge of robbery, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

November 22, 2008 11:02 AM - Peel Regional Police are asking the public for assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a shooting earlier this month.
According to the Peel Regional Police Investigation Bureau, on Sunday, Nov. 2 at around 2:30 p.m., a man was believed to have been inside an apartment building at 30 Hanson Rd. to conduct a drug deal.
The suspect met with a 31-year-old man in the stairwell and during the transaction, police allege the suspect shot the other man in the leg and robbed him of his cash.
Concerned Mississauga residents called emergency services after hearing gunshots.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. He was released several days later and is expected to recover.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Charles Agbajoh, 20, who faces charge of robbery, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
He is described as a black male 5-foot-11 tall, and weighing about 170 lbs. He has a thin build, a dark complexion, black hair styled in cornrows and a metal "grill"on his teeth. He is known to use the alias of Jason Hilton.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Agbajoh is asked to contact the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 ext. 1233.
Anonymous calls can also be made through the Peel Crime Stoppers line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Anonymous information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
