Future Majors program relaunched

The Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors are once again partnering with Tim Hortons in the Future Majors program.
For the second straight season, Majors co-coach James Boyd and various Majors players will visit minor hockey teams to run practice sessions in an effort to help players and coaches improve their skill set.
“The Future Majors program is a perfect complement to our Timbits Minor Hockey program and we are excited to be involved,” said Tim Hortons store owner, Steve Nicholson, in an announcement yesterday. “Not only will this program provide mentorship for young players, it will also provide our minor hockey coaches with an opportunity to develop their skills and expertise.”
The Tim Hortons Future Majors Program will be available for tyke to atom divisions and each team will be given 50 red-level seating tickets to a Majors home game.
Mississauga's next game will be at home against the Niagara IceDogs on Friday.
For more information regarding the 2008-2009 season's Tim Hortons Future Majors program, contact Ben Hodge at 905-502-7788 ext. 222. Minor league hockey teams looking to register for the season should complete an application form at www.stmichaelsmajors.com.
