Devotees of renowned Indian spiritual leader Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji will hear a program of healing ragas when he performs a meditation concert tonight at the Capitol Banquet Hall in Mississauga.
The concert, hosted by the Datta Yoga Centre of Canada, is part of Sri Swamaji's ongoing world tour marking the 20th anniversary of his first healing and meditation concert in Amsterdam in 1987. Admission to the show costs $15 for general admission, and $100 for VIP tickets, which guarantee you a front row seat.
The concert is part of his visit to southern Ontario that runs until Aug. 6. He will also lead yoga classes, singing sessions, prayer sessions, with a talent show and dinner to be held tomorrow night at the Capitol Banquet Hall.
Sri Swamiji is the founder of the Datta Peetham Ashram spiritual centre in Mysore, India. Followers of Swamiji number about half a million people in 45 countries, approximately 800 of whom reside in the GTA. He has helped popularize the ancient spiritual musical practice of Raagaragini Vidya, which aims to help cure a variety of ailments and illnesses through healing ragas, which are spiritual melodies played on a synthesizer.
