Re: Riverwood birdfeeders get a green makeover, May 2
This article speaks of artistically unique birdfeeders, which are environmentally friendly, and how this allows a wide variety of birds (as well as other wildlife) to become attracted to Scotts Canada Bird Feeding Trek.
It also mentions that some of those feeders were being exhibited to the public at Square One Shopping Centre. There, questions were answered, and the public was exposed to the wonders of these eco-friendly birdfeeders.
I, personally, was at Square One last weekend, and very much enjoyed the birdfeeders. They were not only unique, but had a modern je ne sais quoi that intrigued me. There was a specific feeder with certain hole sizes, so as only certain types of birds could get the food. I found it interesting that with wire and bark, a birdfeeder can be both useful and eco-friendly.
I, as one would assume, think very highly of this idea. It is truly an idea that can be built on, and expanded on.
For instance, why stop at birdfeeders. There can be eco-friendly litter boxes for cats, or even recycled plastic bags to use for our non-compostable garbage, as well as to pick up dog “business."
We have already started to work on environmentally-friendly products for ourselves, so why not branch out to animals.
