Majors hand out the hardware

Home town boy Casey Cizikas and team captain Jesse Messier took home the bulk of the hardware Saturday night at the inaugural Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors awards banquet held at Stage West. Cizikas and Messier carted off two awards each among the six that were handed out at the banquet.

 
 

 
Knee injury sidelines outfielder

This is the time of the year when Josh Brenn would normally be on a baseball diamond, patrolling right field for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Inter-County League. Not this year. Instead, he's spending his time on the trainer's table while he recovers from surgery for a torn ACL in his left knee.

Soccer stars face U.S. in friendly match

A couple of Mississaugans are among the 18 members of the National women's soccer team who are in Washington for tomorrow's friendly against the top-ranked female team in the world, the United States.
